We once again we launched at Johnsonville, leaving car and trailer at Tambo Marine but totally misjudged the weather. A strong westerly was evident once we got to Lake King. The electric motor couldn't make headway much past the first set of markers so we turned back. Had a nice sail down wind back to Johnsonville, and retrieved.
We had been warned but you live and learn.
That's pretty much the end for our electric motor experiment. It just doesn't have any safety margin for weather surprises.
Not a problem with battery power but that was the second time it had cut back to half power due to overheat protection.
